Hannibal Cruise (5-Day)
Well, do we have an adventure for you! The Spirit of Peoria is traveling to the riverfront town best known for being the boyhood home of author Mark Twain. Hannibal Missouri is also the setting for his The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
We depart Peoria on this five day, four night excursion on the Illinois River and travel through the Peoria Lock and Dam with an evening landing in Frederick, IL. From the landing in Frederick, motorcoaches transport you to The President Abraham Lincoln hotel in Springfield, Illinois for your first night’s stay. After breakfast at the hotel, we will tour the world famous Abraham Lincoln museum. We will catch the Spirit of Peoria for lunch and proceed down the Illinois River to where we meet the Mighty Mississippi River at Grafton. That evening we will spend the night at the largest state park in Illinois, Pere Marquette lodge.
Monday morning starts at the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, then round the bend heading north up the upper Mississippi. We travel 55 miles through lock 25 and try to reach Clarksville just after dinner and land just before Lock and Dam 24. Motorcoaches will transport everyone to Hannibal for the nights lodging at the Best Western Plus located on the Riverfront. After breakfast, we will have a guided tour of Hannibal on our way back to the riverboat. The final day of river travel includes two additional locks and dams, one being at Clarksville and the next being lock #22. We will arrive in Hannibal after dinner where Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher will be waiting on shore to greet everyone. Downtown Hannibal is located within short walking distance of your hotel and there are many things to see on your own that evening. You may also choose to visit the Mark Twain Caves, and Cave Hollow West Winery.
Wednesday morning after breakfast we will be touring Mark Twain‘s boyhood home and then visiting The Historic Star Theatre for lunch and a wonderful show featuring Mark Twain himself. After Mark Twain‘s performance we will be boarding the coaches for a leisurely ride home to Peoria.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel more than 45 days prior to the date of your trip you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between 22 to 44 days of your trip you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel within 21 days of your trip you will receive no refund.
